Summary

Prerecorded telemedicine, or store-and-forward, enables asynchronous medical consultations. This method is cost-effective for remote services but unsuitable for emergencies or when specialist manipulation during acquisition is needed.

Background:

Prerecorded telemedicine, also known as asynchronous or store-and-forward, allows for non-simultaneous information exchange between healthcare providers.
This contrasts with real-time consultations and is not suitable for emergency situations.

To highlight its advantages and limitations in remote healthcare delivery.
