Modeling of an Active Tablet Coating Process

Summary

This study used discrete element method (DEM) simulations to optimize tablet coating uniformity. Increasing the number of spray nozzles, tablet rotation speed, and decreasing fill level significantly improved coating consistency for active pharmaceutical ingredients.
