Summary

Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring is crucial for head trauma patients with low Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scores. Continuous ICP monitoring guides medical and surgical interventions to prevent severe outcomes like hematoma expansion.

Surgical decompression is indicated if ICP remains >20 mm Hg, GCS <10, or mass effect progresses on repeat CT.
This approach optimizes treatment decisions in severe head injury.
Highlights the importance of integrated ICP monitoring and clinical assessment for improved patient outcomes.
