Background:

Pre-eclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by hypertension and organ damage.
HELLP syndrome (Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes, Low Platelets) is a severe variant of pre-eclampsia.
Weinstein first described HELLP syndrome in 1982, highlighting its distinct clinical and biological features.

Observation:

Classical pre-eclampsia signs include hypertension, proteinuria, and edema.
HELLP syndrome presents with additional symptoms: 86% experience bowel issues, thrombocytopenia, elevated transaminases, and hemolytic anemia.
Severe cases may involve liver rupture, underscoring the syndrome's critical nature.
