Platelet activating factor (PAF) rapidly activates neutrophil acetyltransferase, an enzyme crucial for PAF synthesis. This enzyme activation, more sensitive to PAF than degranulation, suggests distinct receptor mechanisms and likely amplifies neutrophil responses.
