Mechanisms and velocities of anthropogenic Pb migration in Mediterranean soils

Summary

Anthropogenic lead (Pb) from petrol aerosols infiltrates soil at approximately 0.5 cm/year. This study quanties lead migration, revealing significant surface contamination with decreasing levels at depth, indicating a long soil residence time.
